Philadelphia Weekly featured an article on “sensual piercing” last month that got BodySparkle HQ all hot and bothered. Due to the intimate nature of this post, we’ve put it past the jump.
According to the piece,
From Prince Alberts and frenums (a barbell that’s placed on the underside of the penis where the head meets the shaft) for men, triangle and hood piercings for women (ah, we’ll let you figure those out), and nipple rings for both sexes, intimate piercings are erotic fashion statements that are thought to “enhance and stimulate” your love life.
What’s more, anyone can have an intimate piercing — and it might not be who you would think:
… these days anyone might have piercings in intimate places—the mail carrier, the girl who works at the corner store, your landlord, your kids’ anthropology professor. The phenomenon is growing in popularity and is no longer relegated to fetishists or the hardcore

I’m going to get a VHC piercing next weekend. I’m super pumped, especially after reading so many awesome reviews on it. I’m going to school to be a nurse and I’m currently working at a hospital. A nurse there has one, and I would have NEVER EVER imagined she would have one!!! So the article is right… you never know who will have one….
Oh, I’m also excited about all the pretty titanium jewelry y’all have. I can’t wait til my piercing heals so I can put some pretty colors down there to make it even more fashionable!!!

Yes, both nipples. I did one of them myself and had the other done professionally the next day. The one I did healed up even faster than the professionally done one!
I have a 16ga needle I’ve been thinking of using for my hood, but I don’t have a receiving tube. I may do my own piercings, but I’m not dumb about it!
